Conflict Resolution Mechanism

There are conflicts in our community, some of which we anticipate here with our approach and solution. Eventually, new ones will be addressed in an agile and responsible way as they appear.

And there will always be a committee at Originis dedicated to managing and preserving the smooth running of our ecosystem through Conflict Resolution.

Conflicts must be avoided, and that is why we require KYC from our participants to have a serious and transparent environment able to transact high-value items. Besides the need for trust in our process that was designed in layers and groups, to have a reliable distributed certification and, whenever possible, self-regulated. For other cases, the Conflict Resolution Mechanism is triggered.

Triggering the Conflict Resolution Mechanism requires the deposit of Originis tokens equivalent to $50. If the outcome is favorable to the applicant, their tokens will be returned. Otherwise, half will be burned, and half will go to the team involved in the resolution.

Some examples of conflicts and solutions adopted by Originis:

• Requesting registration and validation of existing work on the Originis

1. Understand if the physical artwork was sold, donated, inherited, or transferred - if it is the same, it should have the NFC tag and QR Code sticker on the back.

  1. If the current owner has the NFT, it is just a matter of registering within the Provenance;

  2. If the current owner doesn't have the NFT, he must request it from the work seller. Originis triggers the last owner in the base of records to confirm transactions. If approved, we request NFT transfer;

c. If NFT de Provenance is not in Originis registered portfolio, it is necessary for the current owner to get NFT.

d. if it is not possible to recover the NFT from Provenance, a special request will be opened where each case will be analyzed by Originis central committee and then taken to the community. Documentary evidence attesting to the cause will be required;

2. If the work is indeed the same as the one registered at Originis - no NFC or QR Code
